FORM LETTER TEMPLATES – No Sale Follow-Up Letters

While it would be ideal to close 100% of the existing and prospective clients that we meet with on new work, that is not always the case. So, what do you do? Do you just let them walk out the door and never to hear from them again? Do you continue to spend valuable time following up with them to no avail? Do you potentially have a malpractice issue on your hands if there’s a miscommunication about what was discussed and the nature of your attorney-client relationship?

The best thing to do is to send a follow-up letter, which you can then place a copy of in the prospect or client’s file, so that if you should ever need to, you would have this “CYA” letter at the ready. Additionally, it’s a great way to clarify the relationship you have (or don’t!) with your prospective and existing clients, while also prompting them to make a decision about which way they want to go.
